All procedures are performed by qualified and trained health professionals with high standards of clinical and emotional care.
All health practitioners hold current registration with their national board, professional indemnity insurance and participate in regular continual professional development.
All nurses should have current first aid, CPR, vascular complications and emergency management training.
-
Practitioner QualificationsYour practitioner must disclose their professional qualifications and registration status with their national health board and your practitioner should also disclose any restrictions on their scope of practice. Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) has a searchable database to identify your practitioner’s current qualifications and registration status.
-
Practitioner Experience and SupervisionAs a patient you have the right to ask your practitioner questions regarding their experience in performing the procedures you are considering, just because the practitioner is a registered health professional this does not mean the procedure is in their scope of practice.
-
Prescriptions and PrescribersAll patient must have a face to face or video and audio consultation with a Medical Practitioner or Nurse Practitioner before any prescription medications and/or regulated health services can be provided or administered to the patient, after an initial consultation the patient may have access to 'prescription repeats' however this is not guarenteed.
