Chemical peels can be performed to exfoliate the skin by removing the outer layer of the skin.  Chemical peels create a smoother texture and appearance of the skin and allow greater absorption of topical products.   Chemical peels may also help improve acne, enlarged pores, photodamage, sun damage, pigmentation, uneven skin tones, fine lines and wrinkles, and other skin-related concerns. Chemical peels are performed by applying the chemical directly onto the skin. Options include: AHA, BHA, TCA, Vitamin A, Jessners and combinations. Most people will need 3-6 sessions to permanently remove or reduce the appearance of their concern depending on the severity of the concern.
