Dermaplaning can be performed to gently exfoliate the skin by removing the outer layer of dead skin cells and tiny vellus hairs commonly referred to as "peach fuzz". Dermaplaning creates a smoother texture and appearance of the skin and allows greater absorption of topical products. ​Dermaplaning is performed with a surgical blade or a scalpel and the use of a glide serum to reduce the risk of skin irritation and chaffing.
